Yesterday I stopped by Ulta, because I got it in my head that I needed to check out some It Cosmetics products. "Check out"....ha. I stared at the display for like 2 minutes, and then started grabbing. Here is what I got, and some initial impressions...(I'm wearing all the products today)
Celebration Foundation Illumination in Tan $35.00
So I originally picked up the normal Celebration Foundation in the color Medium-Beige, and it was a bit too light for me. I really wanted the Illumination version, but the Ulta that I was at didn't have it. Luckily, there is another Ulta by where I live, and they had it! However, they were out of Medium, so I went with Tan. I think it matches my body really well, however only when I'm self tanned. It's the perfect color for summer, but I think I need to get Medium for the when I am not so diligent about self-tanning. I really like the finish, and for me, it is a great light-medium coverage powder foundation. It has the perfect glow to it.
This is what I used to apply the foundation. It is reaaaally nice. Also really expensive. I am glad I got it though, because it applies the foundation great. I definitely think this brush is worth the money. It buffed the foundation into the skin beautifully, and the concealer end was great for spot concealing.
I have seen a lot of reviews on this bronzer on Youtube, and originally I was like "ehhhh I don't need another bronzer." And I really don't, BUT when I saw this in the store, I had to have it. It is really freaking pretty. The ombre effect makes it easy to bronze and highlight in one stroke. The highlight is amazing, and the bronzer is pigmented, without being too orange, or shimmery. I really love this. My one complaint, and maybe this was only mine, but I think that there should be more of the bronzing shade as this is marketed as a "bronzer." Mine has more of the highlighting shade. But again, that may just be mine. Regardless, there is a lot of product, and I love every bit of it. And I will repurchase it when I run out...which may take a while, but it is that awesome.
This eyebrow pencil is supposed to be a universal shade for women with all hair colors. It is also said to have brow-enhancing ingredients. I don't know about the brow enhancing ingredients, since I have only worn it today, but I will say that it applies really nicely, and my brows haven't budged. The shape of the pencil was a little hard for me to use at first, because I am used to the fine point of the Anastasia Brow Wiz, and this one is an oval shape. BUT, it was easy to quickly fill them in, but they were still precise. The color is perfect for me, and I love the packaging.
Oh baby. This lip liner is the real deal. #1. It is the perfect nude shade. It has the slightest hint of pink, that keeps it from being too brown for my skin tone. #2 This sucker does not move. I applied it this morning, and after coffee, lunch, and sipping water continuously, it is still on my lips. The one thing I will say is that although it applies really smoothly, it does get almost a tacky feeling when it sets. I don't mind, because I top with a lipstick or a gloss anyway, but I thought I would mention. I will definitely be getting this in other colors.
