Dupes: High-end vs. Low-end Smackdown

SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!! The less expensive products below are almost exact dupes for their high end counterparts. They are so similar, that the extra $10, $20, $30+ dollars that you would spend, can happily sit in your pocket.

Here we go....

Round 1:

Mac Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Superb (limited edition)   $30.00
vs.
Sleek Glo Face & Body Highlighter in Glow   $9.99

L: MAC   R: Sleek

Winner:   Sleek! The texture and shine of this product is amazing....and with that extra $20, you can go and pick out some other amazing products from their website. I recommend the i-Divine eyeshadow palettes, or their blush.

Round 2:

Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Peach Beach    $30.00
vs.
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso   ~$7.00 at your local drugstore

L: Too Faced   R: Milani

Winner:    This one comes down to personal opinion. The Milani blush has a great smooth texture, and the shades are really similar, BUT I personally really love the sheen that the Too Faced blush gives. However, if you don't own either and are looking for a great new blush, I would go for the Milani. The similarity is enough that the savings of ~$23.00 is worth it!

Round 3:

Nars Orgasm   $30.00
vs.
Sleek Guipure from the Lace Blush by 3 palette    $14.99

L: Nars (Orgasm from Foreplay palette)   R: Sleek (middle shade from Lace palette)

Winner:   Sleek!! Another Sleek product...I know....but really, this color is so similar to Orgasm, and in my opinion, packs more punch. To me, Orgasm is a little dry and isn't as pigmented as I would like. The Sleek blush however, has the same beautiful gold shimmer, but with a lot more pigment to it. I find the texture to be a lot better as well. Plus, you get 3 amazing blushes for a much cheaper price.

Round 4:

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light   $24.00
vs.
Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Medium Light   $6.00

L: Tarte   R: Hard Candy

Winner:  Tarte for sure. Although both have very similar coverage, and texture...I find that the Tarte concealer stays put on me a lot longer. I also think that the Glamoflauge has a more grey tone to it, and although it doesn't really come across on the skin, I think that it doesn't quite match my skin as well as the Tarte concealer does.

Round 5:

Nars Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo   $35.00
vs.
Hard Candy Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duo in High Maintenance    $6.00

L: Nars    R: Hard Candy

Winner:   Again, this one is all about preference. The Nars eyeshadow is more subtle, while the Hard Candy has a frostier look to it. I think the Hard Candy shadow makes a great all over lid shadow, while the Nars shadow is great for deepening up the crease, or smoking out a look. I personally like the texture of the Nars shadow more.

Round 6:

Mac Eyeshadow in Humid   $15.00
vs.
Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Golden Sage   ~$7.00

L:  MAC   R: Loreal

Winner:   This is annoying, but again I'm gonna go on personal preference. To me, green eyeshadow is a statement in itself, so the frost in the Loreal version is a bit much for me. Don't get me wrong, it is really beautiful, and the texture is awesome, but the toned down finish of the Mac shadow is a little more my speed.
